ASCS Northern Plains Working Double Through South Dakota and Wyoming

Bryan Hulbert – RAPID CITY, S.D. (June 21, 2022) Going for a weekend double, the ASCS Northern Plains Region will hit Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, S.D., on Friday, June 24, and Gillette Thunder Speedway in Gillette, Wyo. on Saturday, June 25.

Rounds seven and eight on the season, the first two-night run of the 2022 season is the sixth night at Black Hills, and the only appearance of the Gillette Thunder Speedway.

Going into this weekend, the last four outings have been topped by Adam Speckman with Travis Reber chasing. Assuming the point’s lead by two after this past weekend’s win, like the last four races, Travis Reber is the one chasing the No. 4. McKayla Worley holds third, with Austyn Gossel and Jordan Tanner making up the top five.

Friday, June 24 at Black Hills speedway opens at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (MDT). Tickets are $15 for Adults, $12 for Seniors and Veterans, $6 for Kids 12 and younger over four feet tall, and free for Kids under four feet tall. Pits are in the infield. The access gate will close at 6:30 P.M. Black Hills Speedway is located at 2467 Jolly Lane in Rapid City, S.D. Saturday, June 25 opens at 6:00 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (MDT). Tickets are $20 for Adults, $15 for Seniors and Veterans, $5 for Kids 12 and younger over four feet tall, and free for Kids under four feet tall. Gillette Thunder Speedway is located at Thunder Speedway Rd. 13002 HWY 51 in Gillette, Wy. The 2022 season will mark the 31st year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours that encompass both wing and non-wing competition.
